Hello There!

Welcome to Marita Radloff Nutrition! You can read all about my background here, but for now I wanted to drop an official hello for my very first blog post. This site will cover what may be missing in your athletic (or otherwise!) life: nutrition! Nutrition is my jam and I’m here to dispel the myths, set the record straight, and make it easy for you.

My main goal here is two-fold: 

What you eat should bring you joy without restriction

What you eat should fuel your athletic endeavors beyond the race

I believe that everyone is an athlete, even if you haven’t set foot in a gym in years or you run 5ks just for fun. So many of us are pursuing active endeavors these days but are sabotaging those efforts by not fueling properly, no matter the intensity of your sport. If you are dedicated to shaving off seconds, building muscle, or increasing endurance, you’re in the right place! If you just want to learn how to eat better for you and your family without the makings of a crazy diet, stick around. I plan to cover the basics of nutrition and break it down in ways that are actionable and doable so you can reap the full benefits of properly fueling your body. 

But that doesn’t mean you have to give up everything you love. If someone told me if I had to choose ice cream over triathlon, I would not be a happy camper. You’ll never find unrealistic diets or expectations coming from me. I don’t promote meal plans, rigid diets that cut out complete food groups, and I will never ask you to give up your favorite food. I promote and work with clients on Intuitive Eating so that you can learn to fuel your body and sport for life without ever going on another diet again.
